🎯 About the Role:
As a Senior Python Engineer (Odoo) at Shuru Technologies, you’ll design, develop, and maintain backend services and business logic using Python and the Odoo framework
— customizing and optimizing Odoo modules to support complex business workflows for international clients.
Odoo developers with strong Python skills, API integration expertise, and cloud deployment knowledge command premium rates

🗂️ Key Responsibilities:

  • 🏗️ Design, develop, and maintain backend services and business logic using Python and the Odoo framework — customizing, extending, and optimizing Odoo modules to support complex business workflows
  • 🔌 Integrate Odoo with internal systems and third-party services via APIs, webhooks, and message-based interfaces — participating in system design discussions and proposing scalable, maintainable architectures
  • 🧪 Ensure code quality through best practices, automated testing, and proper documentation — troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and deliver reliable fixes in a timely manner
  • 🚀 Support deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines for backend services — contributing to performance optimization, database tuning, and overall system improvements alongside product, frontend, and QA teams

✅ Requirements:

🔑 Must-Haves:

  • 🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 🐍 Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on Odoo development experience — custom modules, ORM, workflows, and security rules
  • 🏗️ Solid understanding of Odoo architecture — models, views, reports, server actions, enterprise vs community editions
  • 🔗 Excellent knowledge of RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and asynchronous operations

🛠️ Technical Skills:

  • 🗄️ Strong SQL and relational database design skills — PostgreSQL strongly preferred
  • ⚙️ Good understanding of software engineering principles — OOP, SOLID, clean architecture, and design patterns
  • 🔀 Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps workflows
  • 🪟 Knowledge of .NET for backend services and components is a strong bonus
  • 🌍 Comfortable working independently and across global cross-functional teams
