🎯 About the Role:
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at SigNoz, you’ll be at the intersection of engineering and customer success — working directly with customer engineering teams to design OpenTelemetry instrumentation strategies, customize dashboards, and ensure successful deployments at scale.

🗂️ Key Responsibilities:
- 🔧 Work directly with customer engineering teams to design their OpenTelemetry instrumentation strategy, customize dashboards, and optimize SigNoz deployments for specific use cases
- 📝 Create custom integration guides, troubleshooting docs, and best practices documentation that engineering teams actually want to read and follow
- 💻 Contribute directly to customer codebases — help debug instrumentation issues, implement solutions hands-on, and ensure successful deployments rather than just providing guidance
- 🔍 Identify patterns in customer deployments and collaborate with product teams to build better defaults, templates, and tooling that benefit the entire SigNoz community
✅ Requirements:
🔑 Must-Haves:
- 🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 💼 2–6 years of experience in technical roles — DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Solutions Engineering backgrounds strongly preferred
- ✍️ Excellent technical writing skills — ability to create clear, actionable documentation that engineers actually use
- 🤝 Strong people skills — genuinely enjoy working directly with customers and engineering teams
🛠️ Technical Skills:
- ☁️ Strong DevOps/Platform engineering background — Containerization, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- 💻 Strong programming skills — comfortable contributing to customer codebases in multiple languages: Go, Python, Node.js, Java
- 🔭 Systems thinking — ability to understand complex distributed architectures and design monitoring strategies that scale
- 📊 Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, APM, distributed tracing, logs, and metrics is a strong advantage
