About the Role:
🧮 As a Data Engineer Intern, you will help design and implement data pipelines and platform components that support Fam’s fintech products and growth analytics.
You will work with modern data engineering concepts (data lakehouse, event streaming, serving/query infra), collaborating with product and engineering teams to turn business needs into robust data models and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 🔄 Design and implement efficient data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability.
  • 🧱 Help build core Data Platform components from scratch, such as data lakehouse, serving/query infrastructure, and event streaming platforms.
  • 📈 Monitor and improve performance and reliability of data pipelines, data platforms, and related infrastructure.
  • 🤝 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs for data pipelines, models, and platform components.

Requirements:

  • 🎓 B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 🧑‍💻 Previous internship experience in a product-based company or startup.
  • 🧠 Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

  • 🐍 Proficiency in Python or GoLang, with strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
  • 🗄 Experience or interest in data engineering through prior internships or personal projects; familiarity with analytical databases, data warehousing, ETL concepts, and structured formats (CSV, JSON, Avro, Parquet).
  • ☁ Working knowledge of AWS, plus any contributions to open source or GSoC.
